Pastors of Athens Link Fellowship

responsibility of leading Athens Link as co-Pastor with Cindy. Personally, John has experienced several major physical healings that came through prayer and persistence of expected healing from God. Loving and caring for people as they come into Kingdom identity and destiny in order to make a meaningful impact on the people they touch is what makes John tick.

Cindy Gaultney

Cindy began her career as a banker which is where she met John. After their marriage in 1980, Cindy transitioned into being a mother of five children. In Athens, she home-schooled their children, who are now grown. Their family is continuing to grow with several grandchildren. Cindy had not grown up in the church. In her late 20s, Cindy came to know the Lord in Atlanta through a miraculous encounter with Jesus. Immediately, she immersed herself in the Word, and this birthed a hunger for more of the love of the Father. Cindy has led Bible studies at homeless shelters in Atlanta and homes/churches in Athens, but her real step into one of her personal destinies was to go back to Richmont University to become a licensed professional counselor. Now, she has her own practice called AthenSoulCare, LLC. Cindy also co-Pastors Athens Link with a desire to help people become whole in Christ. Together

Cindy and John really enjoy seeing people come alive in their identity as daughters/sons of a living God. They hope that others will desire to seek to grow in what the Lord has for them. This is why they have sponsored Love After Marriage weekend, participated in several conferences through Bethel Church in Redding, California, and been led to develop a deep, personal relationship with The Link in Dunfermline, Scotland. Another exciting growth at Athens Link is implementing a third year to the School of Supernatural Ministry. More than anything, Cindy and John desire to see Athens, Georgia become united in several ways, especially with other churches who have the same love for Jesus and with people of different cultures, races, and economic backgrounds. They love to see people empowered into their own destiny in Athens and the nations.

Athens Link Fellowship Leadership

Athens Link Fellowship is led by John and Cindy Gaultney.

John Gaultney

From a career standpoint, John has been a banker since 1968, commencing in Atlanta where he grew up. Banking drew him back to Athens (graduated in 1969 from UGA) in 1987 to start a new bank in the downtown area. The location of the bank made John and Cindy aware of the needs of a city like Athens with its homelessness and varied cultures. John grew up in the church, but it was in 1990 that he really became aware of the presence of God, the Holy Spirit, and God’s love for each of us. He and Cindy have been active in church leadership from that point, including starting a Bible study class (Sunday School) that continues to this day. Continuing his career as a banker in other local financial institutions, John is now also carrying the
